Slovakia Retail Sales Growth Slows In August

Slovakia's retail sales increased at a slower pace in August, after improving in the previous two months, figures from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed Friday, reports "RTTNews".

Retail sales grew 1.1 percent year-on-year following 2.8 percent increase in July. It was the smallest gain thus far this year.

Month-on-month, retail sales declined 0.4 percent in August.

In the first eight months of the year, retail sales grew 3.3 percent from a year ago.
